Hangzhou member Forzin Korea Baseball to challenge for APBC title…Lee also inducted

After winning four consecutive Asian Games gold medals, the Korean National Baseball Team is going for another title at the Asian Professional Baseball Championship.

It’s a chance to see the future of baseball in Asia, with players under the age of 24 taking center stage.

From the 16th to the 19th of next month, the Asian Professional Baseball Championship, or APBC, will be held at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, with four countries, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Australia, participating.

Manager Ryu Joong-il plans to reunite his four-time Asian Games gold medalist squad to repeat the glory.

“The goal is to win the championship, but I’m also curious to see how the younger players will perform in this tournament. We will do our best in every game.”안전놀이터

Seventeen of the 26 players on the roster are Hangzhou members, including Moon Dong-joo, Noh Si-hwan, and Yoon Dong-hee, but the team also includes Lee Yi-ri, who was controversially cut from Hangzhou’s final roster.

At the time, head coach Ryu Jung-il excluded Lee Yi-ri because he believed he would not be able to perform at his best due to injury, which became a problem when it was later revealed in a league match that Lee Yi-ri’s physical condition was not a problem.

Some may argue that the team was being harsh on Lee, as he missed the Asian Games, which was an important opportunity for him as an athlete, due to his “military service exemption,” and will be wearing the Korean flag at this tournament.

The fact that the tournament schedule overlaps with the Korean Baseball Organization’s postseason is expected to be a factor in player management.

With the first game starting on the 16th of next month, and the Korean Series ending on the 15th, there is a possibility of some roster changes for the teams that advance to the Korean Series.

After finishing second in the inaugural tournament in 2017, the Korean national team will be looking to redeem themselves this time around.
